Are Hispanic businesses in startup competitions? OYE! Intelligence made the first round of cuts for the 2017 Venture Madness competition along with 63 other competitors. Venture Madness, presented by Invest Southwest in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority, pits 64 of the most promising startups against one another in a bracket-style, head-to-head competition. Applying is free and open to early-stage firms demonstrating proven market traction.
Online voting for the People’s Choice award began on Tuesday, Jan 17 and ran through Tuesday, January 24. On January 25, the top 64 companies were narrowed to 32, and then by February 3, 16 finalists will be chosen to move on to compete in a live, bracket-style, head-to-head competition. The live event is held March 8 – 10, 2017 at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, AZ.
The OYE proprietary algorithm determines the likelihood that any digital conversation coming via social media or the web at large is coming from a U.S. Hispanic consumer. This in turn provides our clients with unique opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of their campaigns. OYE uses its software to find if hispanic businesses in startup competitions are culturally relevant in todays conversations. Our full submission can be found here.
