Project Description
The 2020 United States Senate special election in Arizona has two frontrunners, Martha McSally (Republican) and Mark Kelly (Democrat). The race has many national implications as a result for Mark Kelly is one of several that Democrats are hopeful to win in order to shift the balance in Congress blue. It is important to understand the trending discussions and topics based on the senate race because of its impact on Arizona and the United States.
In this report, OYE software was utilized to deliver Hispanic insights based on social media conversations on Twitter about the two candidates during the dates of 2/12/2020 – 3/12/2020. Insights cover volume, language, gender analysis, location, topic analysis, sentiment analysis, top shared posts, and more.
This analysis was extrapolated from a sample of 82,022 Twitter conversations online discussing Kelly vs McSally of which 4,938 were from verified Hispanics and 2,735 conversations were from verified African Americans.
