Project Description

This study aims to explore multicultural perspectives on regulating A.I., particularly focusing on Black Americans and the Hispanic community. It investigates their attitudes towards A.I. regulation, considering whether they support or oppose current efforts, and examines gender-based differences in viewpoints. Additionally, the study assesses the level of Hispanic interest in A.I. regulation, factoring in elements such as acculturation. These insights offer a valuable understanding of diverse opinions, shedding light on various perspectives within society. This research aims to facilitate informed discussions and enhance comprehension of the implications surrounding A.I. regulation. Download the report to learn more about this topic.

Methodology

This analysis was extrapolated from a data set of 115,677 conversations on Twitter to find if regulating A.I. was popular with diverse audiences. From these posts, 5,212 were from verified U.S. Hispanics, and 970 were from verified Black Americans. All data was gathered from 04/23/2023 – 05/29/2023.
