Tokyo Olympic Games Cross-Cultural Analysis

Project Description

Within the span of 2 weeks of the duration of the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020, there was heavy emotion from viewers in response to their athletes representing their home countries. In this report, we conducted the Tokyo Olympic games cross-cultural analysis pertaining to conversations from Black and Hispanic viewers discussing their favorite competitors.


This analysis was extrapolated from a data set of 30,166 conversations on Twitter, of which 3,968 were from verified U.S. Hispanics and 2,056 were from verified Black Americans. All data was gathered from 7/23/2021 – 8/24/2021.
