Kicking off the World Cup in Qatar | Multicultural Social Listening Report

Project Description

As we go deeper into the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, we analyze how the multicultural audience has interacted with the World cup up to this point. Specifically, we analyzed how the U.S. Hispanics and Black Americans discussed the different teams, the games, and the participating countries.

In this report, the  O.Y.E. Social Listening software was utilized to analyze multicultural World Cup data based on gathered social media conversations. Insights gathered include ethnicity, language, gender, location, sentiment, acculturation, popular hashtags and posts.

Methodology

This analysis was extrapolated from a data set of 161,546 conversations on Twitter, of which 26,355 were from verified U.S. Hispanics and 4,786 were from verified Black Americans. All data was gathered from 11/14/2022 – 12/01/2022.
