Opioid Epidemic Discussion | Multicultural Analysis
Project Description
The opioid epidemic has garnered a lot of attention recently. With the presidential debates going on, there is lots of discussion about the opioid epidemic regarding politics, as well as people living through this epidemic. It is clear that the opioid epidemic has caught the multicultural attention. It is clear that the multicultural conversation on Twitter has an opinion on the opioid epidemic, this report dives into exactly what this opinion is.
In this report, OYE! software was utilized to deliver Hispanic and African American consumer insights based on social media conversations on Twitter about the opioid epidemic during the dates of October 16th – November 15th, 2019. Insights cover volume, language, gender analysis, location, topic analysis by ethnicity, keyword word cloud, and top shared posts.
This analysis was extrapolated from a sample of 33,471 Twitter conversations online discussing the opioid epidemic of which 2,086 were from verified Hispanics and 2,774 conversations were from verified African Americans.
