This year, artists have addressed global issues through their speeches and attire, which has occasionally sparked controversy. Notably, reports emerged of security personnel mistreating artists on the Cannes red carpet. Rumors about the film Messi being banned from the Oscars have intensified discussions and debates.

Events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars appeal to diverse audiences. This is especially evident when analyzing Hispanic and Black American opinions on the internet. It is crucial to consider their participation in the film and cinema industry. Understanding their impact on global film celebrations helps recognize their influence on these communities. Methodology

This analysis uses a dataset of 111,094 conversations about both Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars, including 7,070 from verified U.S. Hispanics and 1,009 from verified Black Americans. The data was collected between April 21, 2024, and June 21, 2024.
