Influencer Burnout within Diverse Community
Project Description
Multicultural influencer burnout presents a growing challenge in today’s digital sphere. This project explores influencer burnout among diverse groups, including U.S. Latinos and Black Americans, on social media. We aim to understand why they experience burnout by analyzing a comprehensive report of their online discussions. Our focus is on the unique pressures influencers face, such as representing their culture authentically and dealing with online harassment. This research offers insights into the complexities of influencer burnout in contexts, enriching our understanding of digital influencer culture.
Methodology
This analysis was extrapolated from a data set of 43,206 conversations on Twitter, of which 4,680 were from verified U.S. Hispanics and 1,123 were from verified Black Americans. All data was gathered from 04/05/2024 – 04/18/2024.
