Project Description
This summer, large movie studios are straying from the status quo by creating action movies with female leads, creating heavy social media buzz depicting excitement, as well as criticism, by many. Methodology
In this report, OYE software was utilized to deliver Hispanic and African American entertainment insights based on social media conversations on Twitter about female action movie demographics during the dates of April 19th – May 23rd, 2020.
This analysis was extrapolated from a sample of 94,510 Twitter conversations online discussing the 2020 action movies with a female lead of which 20,660, or approximately 21.9%, were from verified Hispanics and 4,315, representing approximately 4.6%, were from verified African Americans providing insights on female action movie demographics.
