Celebrity Makeup Brands– Social Listening Research

Project Description

There has been a recent trend where many notable celebrities have entered markets outside of their niche. The beauty industry has become increasingly popular with names such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner fighting over a similar consumer base. In this OYE short study, we dissect some of the discourse surrounding popular celebrity makeup brands and segment the conversations by age, ethnicity, gender, sentiment, and more. These metrics provide insights into how multicultural audiences feel, use, and interact, with the brands. Download the report for free to see all findings.

Methodology

This analysis of celebrity makeup brands was extrapolated from a data set of 30,043 conversations on Twitter, of which 12,485 were from verified U.S. Hispanics and 4,333 were from verified Black Americans. All data was gathered from 2/18/2021 – 4/19/2021.
